Mr. Speaker, I am currently asking you to rule on this matter,\u201d said the MP.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ghana\u2019s debt stock hits 137.2 billion<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Figures released by the Bank of Ghana (BoG) in January 2018, had shown that the country\u2019s total debt stock had hit GH\u00a2138.8 billion cedis as of November 2017, representing 68.7 percent of the country\u2019s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).<\/p>\n<p>It showed a marginal decrease from September\u2019s figure of 138.9 billion cedis compared to November\u2019s figure of 138.8 billion cedis.<\/p>\n<p>The figures, however showed that the debt stock decreased in October to 137.6 billion cedis before going up to 138.8 billion cedis in November.<\/p>\n<p>The external component of Ghana\u2019s debt also stood at 16.9 billion dollars, equivalent to 74.7 billion cedis, while the domestic component of the debt is at 64.2 billion cedis.<\/p>\n<p>Government had indicated through its issuance calendar that it will borrow 11 billion cedis in the first quarter of 2018.<\/p>\n<p><!-- uploaded by: 61 updated by: -1 --><\/p>\n<p><!-- Start of html generated by this->footer() -->\n<\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a style=\"display:none\" rel=\"follow\" href=\"http:\/\/megatheme.ir\/\" title=\"\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633\">\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Business News of Wednesday, 21 February 2018 Source: citifmonline.com 2018-02-21 Ken Ofori-Atta Some minority Members of Parliament want the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta summoned to provide the true state of the country\u2019s debt stock.
