In a SONA described by Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu as \u201cstate of promises\u2019, the President shoots off with the sweetest of accolades for his Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who emerges as \u201cthe strong, brilliant economist\u201d under whose \u201cstellar leadership\u201d the Economic Management Team has risen to the challenge of building a stronger economy with the hard work beginning to show positive results.<\/p>\n<p>The President also found his Minister for Finance and Economic Planning, Ken Ofori-Atta as \u201ca national asset\u201d for the solid \u201cmacroeconomic fundamentals\u201d as all critical indices point \u201cin the right direction,\u201d while Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, is a \u201cchampion of Ghanaian farmers\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCharismatic\u201d is the Education Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, just as Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman Manu is an \u201cable chartered accountant\u201d and Lands and Natural Resources Minister, John Peter Amewu \u201cindefatigable\u201d.
