During her \u2018Meet The Press\u2019 session, she also stated that, social media did not exist in 2004 \u2013 another canard statement \u2013 and just this weekend, she once again seemed to have caused an uproar with her brazen comment that, legendary actor, Agya Koo, is more popular than John Dumelo.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with 2017 GN Bank \u2018People\u2019s Celebrity Awards Favourite Journalist\u2019, Mustapha Inusah, the Minister stated that, per the Ministry\u2019s research and scientific proof, Agya Koo tops the list of entertainers of local content and she mentioned indicators like Facebook, Whatsapp etc.<\/p>\n<p>www.entertainmentgh.com monitored in dismay as the journalist tried to correct the Minister on the fact, even on Facebook, John Dumelo has the biggest following but she repudiated the assertion, insisting that, it was the journalist\u2019s opinion and not fact.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, per her Ministry\u2019s research, Agya Koo tops John Dumelo on social media and everywhere else.<\/p>\n<p>Just last month, John Dumelo was announced as one of the most \u2018powerful\u2019 and influential entertainers in Africa, not Ghana \u2013 www.entertainmentgh.com read it too!<\/p>\n<p>John Dumelo, based on quality research by the firm, CampsBay Media, was listed among the Top 10 African Entertainers &amp; Footballers with the largest following on Facebook in the \u2018African Social Media Power Report 2017?. He was listed at Number 8 among the likes of music star\/songwriter\/producer\/label head, Akon \u2013 superstar footballers, Samuel Eto\u2019o and Didier Drogba as well as Liverpool sensation, Mo\u2019 Salah.<\/p>\n<p>Also on the Top 10 List are Oscar-winning South African actress, Charlize Theron and US-based comedian, Trevor Noah.<\/p>\n<p>The list which was combined by a Lagos-based sports communication company, CampsBay Media, weighs the influence African pop culture stars and football personalities have on social media.
