Her first paid job was to take care of an unnamed neighbour\u2019s cats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy neighbour went away for summer holidays and I took care of her cats,\u201d revealed Dumas to Joburg Post Online in a recent interview. \u201cShe paid me my first 100 pounds, which I used in purchasing my first winter coat. \u201c<\/p>\n<p>The driving force behind her passion is wanting to be a better version of herself every day and motivating the youth to build their confidence and strive to be great at whatever they do.<\/p>\n<p>The host of reality Television Talk show \u2018Keeping It Real With Joselyn Dumas\u2019 debunked the notion that guys are intimated by her stature and fame.<\/p>\n<p>She also expressed her concern about what she says is society \u201cnot doing as much for the boy child\u201d as it should.  Dumas is of the opinion that when society raises \u201cKings only then will they know how to treat a queen right.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Born Joselyn Canfor-Dumas, she is celebrated for her work as an actress and Television Presenter.<\/p>\n<p>The mother of one has a degree in Administrative law. She practiced as a Para legal before relocating to Ghana to pursue her dreams of becoming a Television Personality.<\/p>\n<p>Her debut on Ghanaian Television was on music show, Rhythmz. She joined the erstwhile Viasat 1 to host its flagship Talk show, The One Show between 2010 and 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Her first acting role was in the movie \u2018Perfect Picture.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Dumas got her big break in acting playing the role of \u2018Jennifer Adams\u2019 in Television Series \u2018Adams Apple\u2019 directed and produced by Shirley Frimpong-Manso.<\/p>\n<p>The role earned her a \u2018Best Actress In a Lead Role\u2019 nomination at the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards. She played lead roles in movies and series including \u2018Potato Potahto,\u2019 \u2018Love or Something Like That,\u2019 \u2018A Sting in a Tale,\u2019 and A Northern Affair.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Dumas is the founder of Virgo Sun Company Limited, the production company behind her current Television Talk show.
