The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has said it has mapped out new strategies to help it achieve its revenue target of GH\u00a239.2billion this year.<\/p>\n

The GRA failed to meet the 2017 target of GH\u00a234billion, collecting GH\u00a232.4billion instead.<\/p>\n

The GRA\u2019s Commissioner General Emmanuel Kofi Nti expressed hope that with the recent reforms in the economy coupled with deliberate educational campaigns, the 2018 target will be achieved.<\/p>\n

\u201cMoving on from\u2026to the new level of 39.8 is basically talking of 23.7% increase and last year we did 22.3%. And so, we will need to work even harder,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

The 22.3% made last year, he said was at a time \u201cwe couldn\u2019t roll out the excise tax stamps, we couldn\u2019t roll out the electronic point of sale device and so this time around with the coming of these things we should be able to matchup to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said the innovative measures that \u201cwe took towards the end of the year [2017] are coming to fruition in 2018\u201d thus \u201cwe are of the view that 2018 is going to be relatively good year.\u201d<\/p>\n
