{"id":453767,"date":"2018-01-10T15:32:22","date_gmt":"2018-01-10T15:32:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2018\/01\/10\/ghanaians-happy-with-akufo-addos-administration-ug-research\/"},"modified":"2018-01-10T15:32:22","modified_gmt":"2018-01-10T15:32:22","slug":"ghanaians-happy-with-akufo-addos-administration-ug-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2018\/01\/10\/ghanaians-happy-with-akufo-addos-administration-ug-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Ghanaians happy with Akufo-Addo&#8217;s administration &#8211; UG Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/President-Akufo-Addo-signs-5-bills-475x267.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"mashsb-container mashsb-main mashsb-stretched\"> <\/aside>\n<p>Public view of the Akufo-Addo administration remains unchanged with majority of Ghanaians still satisfied with the current NPP regime.<\/p>\n<p>A survey conducted by the Political Science Department of the University of Ghana says 52.7 percent of Ghanaians will vote for the NPP while 33.1 percent say their votes will go for the NDC.<\/p>\n<p>Per the research, the government\u2019s Free SHS policy received the highest ratings followed by the fight against illegal mining [galamsey], the restoration of teachers and nurses\u2019 trainees allowance among others.<\/p>\n<p>Majority of the respondents were of the view that government has also demonstrated its capacity to deal with some of the challenges confronting the NPP administration led by President Nana Akufo-Addo. They however expressed reservations on issues concerning unemployment and others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can see that once government is working and getting things done citizens also appreciate. But of all these\u2026 the most popularly policy has to do with the Free Senior High School,\u201d said Dr. Bossman Asare, Head Political Science Department, University of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany voters indicated that they thought it was a very\u2026very good thing and really identified with it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>On the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Dr. Asare continued, \u201cAlthough the NHIS for example is not so perfect we heard the voters making very clear that they thought that it has seen some revival.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a result, he said, \u201cThe government\u2019s popularity is almost 62.1 percent [and] what this actually means\u00a0 that the government\u2019s popularity is okay but can be better than that.
