The event saw performances from Nigerian Afro dancehall act, Patoranking, Flavour, Phyno, Olamide, Wizkid and Toofan from Togo and Fally Ipupa from Congo.<\/p>\n<p>Ghanaian dancehall kingpin Shatta Wale who was billed to perform was did not make an appearance on stage last night.<\/p>\n<p>Social media has been buzzing with comments by some Ghanaians and lovers of Ghanaian music who think as hosts of the CAF Awards, Ghanaian artistes should have dominated in the artiste line-up.<\/p>\n<p>Founder of Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko took to Facebook to express his disappointment with the low representation of Ghanaian artistes at the Aiteo CAF Awards.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead of treating us to some good Ghanaian performances, as well, CAF decided to populate the stage with Naija ones plus others, including a Nigerian artiste who was dressed as if he lost his way to the gym. I hear he is called Wizkid,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fgabby.a.otcheredarko%2Fposts%2F10156037849277959&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"212\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowtransparency=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Ghanaian blogger and artiste manager, George Mensah Britton, also wrote on his Facebook page: \u201cThis is a disgrace to Ghana Music\u2026 #cafawards.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" xml:lang=\"en\">This is a disgrace to Ghana Music&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/CAFawards2017?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#CAFawards2017<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 GeorgeBritton.com (@georgebrittongh) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/georgebrittongh\/status\/949042407781421056?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 4, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A radio personality at Hitz FM, Kleff Maxwell Justic,e was not content with the fact that Kidi performed to end the show. According to him, it was disrespectful.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPls let\u2019s stop the Kidi performed to end the show NONSENSE! Who and who did he perform to after a show was done and dusted?<\/p>\n<p>We have been disrespected and that\u2019s the issue here.
