Swedish-based striker Frank Arhin has expressed delight at getting a call up to the Ghana U20 team.
The Östersunds hitman is one of several foreign-based players to have joined the Black Satellites’ camp as they prepare for the Africa Youth Championships in February.
Arhin was part of the Ghana U23 squad that progressed to the next round of qualifiers for the 2020 Olympic Games earlier this month.
His exploits with the Black Meteors has been spotted by the Ghana U20 coaches wo have handed him a cal.
Arhin who was looking forward to spending some time with his family on holidays in Ghana admits the call came as a surprise.
“Coming back from Sweden, I wasn’t expecting a call-up, I was only coming to spend my holidays but then I had a call to join the National under 23,” he told Apha Radio.
“I was really happy when my agent told me. I think it’s a start of the big things for me.
“Now I have also been called to join the under 20 team. The feeling is great. I hope to give out my best when I join the team.”
