Why didn’t you flag off your campaign in Borno, Yobe or Zamfara – Fayose tackles Buhari

Immediate past governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose has criticised the decision of president Muhammadu Buhari to kick-off of his Southsouth campaign, in Akwa Ibom state.

President Buhari will on Friday, kick off his campaign at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, a state governed by a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP member.

Fayose, in a tweet on Thursday accused the president of being able to make just  ‘telephone calls’ to a state where Nigerians are killed daily, yet would be kicking off his campaign in Akwa Ibom, a peaceful state.

The former governor queried the president for not kicking off his campaign, in one of the volatile Northeastern states or even Zamfara.

He wrote:

Nigerians are being killed in Zamfara, President Buhari could only make “phone calls”. But he is going to Akwa Ibom, a state made peaceful by the PDP Govt of Mr Udom Emmanuel to flag off his campaign.

Why can’t he do the flag off in Zamfara, Yobe or Borno?
