The Rotary Club of Accra Labone (RCAL) on Saturday donated Christmas gifts and other food items to children on admission at the Paediatric Ward of the Nsawam Government Hospital.

Led by its President Yaw Korankye Abrokwa, members of the club visited the ward to present the items to the children and their parents.

The items presented included fruit drinks, biscuits, disinfectants and toiletries.

Mr Abrokwa in an interview said the donation was to make the Christmas a memorable one for the children.

“We want to remind the children that they are loved by the society, even though they are away from their home,” he said.

“The donation is to remind them of the joy of Christmas and wish them a speedy recovery”.

Mr Abrokwah also pledged that the club will next year replace the netting at the ward.

Receiving the items on behalf of the ward, the Ward In-Charge, Millicent Manson expressed gratitude to the club for their constant support to the hospital over the years.
