A former Municipal Chief Executive for Keta, Edward Kofi Ahiabor, has been found dead in an uncompleted building.

This was confirmed to Citi News by the Anlo Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party [NPP], Joseph Adranyi.

Mr. Ahiabor, aged 55, was reported missing over the past six days before he was found dead on Friday morning.

He is suspected to have died by suicide in an uncompleted house near his father’s residence opposite Fraga oil in Anloga.

The MCE was once the Best farmer in the district and previously served as MCE in 2004.

Aside from being MCE from 2004 to 2008, Mr. Ahibor worked with Tip Top Foods Ltd as production and quality control manager, and as head of the department of Anloga Senior High School.

He held a BSc. in Agriculture from the University of Ghana and an MPhil. in Soil Science from the same university.

Mr. Ahiabor was among five persons who were honoured as Volta’s heroes in 2015 by the Volta Heroes foundation.

Mr. Ahiabor was born on November 30, 1963.

His remains have been deposited at the Keta Government Hospital morgue.
