The Chief Executive Officer of XO-DUS Communications, Richard Abbey, organisers of the 2018 Ghana Oil and Gas Awards has said, the periodic organization of the awards has helped improve adherence to safety in the industry.

According to him, there is compliance at the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) where you must follow certain standards and this awards has in a way put industry players on their toes.

“Remember we gave Mr. Tampuli a leadership award because he has been cutting down illegal entry of importation of fuel and all that and I think that others too are off-takers from BOST and TOIL which means that they are contributing to the National development”

He said the off-takers from BOST and TOIL are contributing to National development because if BOST has a product and people are not patronizing it how can they make money and all those people have been awarded.

“They are people who are indigenously making efforts to do this, so in recognizing these people, it has boost business” he noted.
