Black Princesses head coach, Yusif Basigi has blamed the investigative piece by ace journalist, Aremeyaw Anas as the curse that saw his team perform abysmally at the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup held in France.

Ghana were humiliated by both host team France 4-1 and Netherlands 4-0.

Yusif Basigi’s team finished third in the group on three points with a negative 6 goal difference. His team conceded 8 goals at the tournament.

The Black Princesses performed abysmally at the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup held in France as Yusif Basigi’s team were humiliated by France and the Netherlands.

Ghana were eliminated at the end of group play despite a consolation victory over New Zealand but head coach Basigi believes the negative effect of the Anas expose was damaging to his team.

“That is a major factor. It is a bare fact that the Anas expose affected us.

We were in camp and two months to the start of the competition the Anas video came out and we had to break camp” he told New Mercury FM.

‘Had we not broke camp, there is no way France and Holland were going to hit us for 4 goals. Absolutely no way but I know stuff like these happen in football’ he added.
