Senator Ben Bruce has criticised the freezing of the account of the “most honest and prudent governor, Nigeria has ever produced”.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Saturday, raised the alarm, that the account of its VP candidate, Peter Obi had been frozen by agents of president Muhammadu Buhari.
The opposition party accused the APC of resorting to all sorts of attacks and methods, to run down its presidential candidate and his vice.
In his reaction via his Twitter handle on Saturday evening, Mr Bruce also slammed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), for not being “ intelligent and subtle in their anti democratic attack.”
He wrote:
All of a sudden Peter Obi, the most honest and prudent Governor Nigeria ever produced is a suspect whose account is frozen? They can’t even be intelligent and subtle in their anti democratic attacks. The same EFCC whose chairman wears a Buhari reelection lapel pin!
