Barely a week after landing goalkeeper Richmond Ayi on a free from WAFA SC, the Phobians have captured defender Mohammed Alhassan in similar fashion.

The lanky centre-back, who captained the Academy Boys from the start of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League until its abrupt end, recently run out of contract and opted to move on.

Hearts unveiled the defender, known to have an eye for goals, across their social media platforms on Thursday morning.

Mohammed Alhassan becomes the third player to leave WAFA over the past two months. He joins Ayi at Hearts weeks after midfielder Umar Basiru moved to Asante Kotoko.

Meanwhile, striker Richard Danso is out and about chasing a contract abroad. He was recently reported to be training with Tunisian giants Club Africain.
