Afrikaans-speaking schools have nothing to fear, says Gauteng education MEC Panyaza Lesufi, who plans to urgently meet principals and governing body members of about 168 such schools to address the “serious communication breakdown” between them and himself.
Lesufi has butted heads before with several Afrikaans-medium schools over their refusal to admit English-speaking pupils.
