Manchester United’s woe in the domestic league continued after they could only force a draw from their visit to St Mary stadium yesterday. Southampton who sit in 19th prior to the encountered were the better side in the early exchange and deservedly opened a two goals lead over the Red Devils before the half of an hour mark.

However, Manchester United clawed back into the contest as they got two goals in quick succession to draw level with half time not far in sight.

The first half ended in a stalemate and we were thought to be heading for a show down in the second half but the Red Devils were just like the first half again, lacklustre. As a result of the draw, they now languish in 7th position and have also opened a 14 points gap between themselves and defending champions, Manchester City.

Their head coach, Jose Mourinho, while addressing journalists at the end of the match revealed how frustrated he is at not being able to go back to Old Trafford with maximum three points.
