There’s no need to book an eye-watering expensive international flight to visit some of the world’s best beaches. Instead you can take a sho’t left to Plettenberg Bay, the Wild Coast, Cape Town or Port Elizabeth.
That’s because five beaches in these destinations have been named among The World’s Top 100 Beaches in a new ranking from Flight Network, a leading online travel agency.
Flight Network compiled their Top 100 list in conjunction with over 1,000 travel professionals including tour agents and journalists. The beaches were given scores out of 10 for Sheer Untouched Beauty, Remoteness and, Sand and Water Quality. The weather was also taken into account.
Here are the Mzansi beaches that made the grade:
1. NOETZIE BEACH, PLETTENBERG BAY
Rank on Top 100 list: 16
What’s to love? Flight Network called Noetzie Beach “wondrous”, raving about its golden sands, historic castles and setting in a hidden bay bordered by forests and fynbos.
