While adidas is no stranger to working with some of the biggest names in the fashion industry, their ongoing collaboration with Alexander Wang has always been something to get excited about. Now in its fourth iteration, Wang has solidified his strong design language through his collaborative efforts with Originals, staying loyal to the brand, while retaining his signature subversive style.
The inverted trefoil has become the logo for the partnership but deconstructed and given new life. Season 4 consists of 18 unisex pieces, including tops, track pants, dresses, tees, shorts and footwear.
For the first time, this exclusive (and elusive) collaboration is available locally. Photographer and art director Xzavier Zulu has captured this in his own unique way, together with NTWRK AREA3 – a local creative platform that champions content creation and storytelling based on Instagram.
“The collection revisits past collaborations and gives them new life, as well as challenging classics like the Superstar, in the shape of the Skate Super. This process speaks to all that I do in upcycling but also helps educate a new consumer to the past and teases (Wang’s) idea of tomorrow for brand staples,” said Zulu of Season 4.
