Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon
Pharmacists in Ghana have joined the country to mourn the sudden death of Emmanuel Agyarko in the United States on Wednesday.
The Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) says the passing of the Mr Agyarko brings great sadness to members of the institution.
“Hon. Emmanuel [Kyeremateng] Agyarko was a great pharmacist, a fellow of the Ghana College of Pharmacists and the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon. His legacy will remain immortalized in the annals of the Pharmacy profession in Ghana. We are indeed honoured and blessed to have had him as a professional colleague,” the PSGH said in a statement signed by its President, Benjamin Botwe.
Mr Agyarko died at a hospital in the United States after a protracted illness, according to family sources.
“Farewell and rest in peace Hon. Pharm. Emmanuel [Kyeremateng] Agyarko – Leader, Pharmacist and a true politician. The PSGH will never forget you,” the PSGH statement promised.

The Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) is deeply shocked and saddened to learn about the sudden demise of our brother, friend and comrade Hon. Pharm. Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko.
His passing into glory brings true sadness to our hearts as a Society, to the bereaved family and as well as the people of the Republic of Ghana.
Today, we mourn the passing on of a distinguished Pharmacist, astute politician and a great son of Ghana who has left an indelible imprint in the history of our noble profession.
Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko was a great pharmacist, a fellow of the Ghana College of Pharmacists and the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon. His legacy will remain immortalized in the annals of the Pharmacy profession in Ghana. We are indeed honoured and blessed to have had him as a professional colleague.
Farewell and rest in peace Hon. Pharm. Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko– Leader, Pharmacist and a true politician. The PSGH will never forget you. We will always remember you as your spirit continue to guide and inspire us in our struggle for perfection and greater heights. Posterity will celebrate you as one of the greatest pharmacists who contributed immensely in shaping the course of our noble profession across the various sectors of practice.
You will forever remain in our hearts.
