National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Lower Manya Krobo, Ebenezer Teye Larbi, is heartbroken by the sudden death of his colleague, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko.
According to him, the late the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West was a not only a colleague in Parliament but a “brother and confidant” in spite of the different political ideals they hold.
Hon. Kyeremateng Agyarko died on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at a hospital in the United States after a protracted ailment.
The NPP Legislator had gone to the United States to seek medical care after an undisclosed medical condition he begun dealing with at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
Mr Agarko who was married with seven children has been the MP for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency since 2012 after he replaced the current Chief of Staff, Frema Opare as MP for the area.
His sudden demise has come to many as a surprise but to Hon Teye Larbi his pain goes beyond the surprise because he has lost a good friend.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Thursday, the NDC MP said he traveled with the late Agyarko weeks ago and he looked very strong and healthy.
“We travelled together on November 14 and he looked very strong. He told me he was going for a medical checkup in the USA but I never thought it will end this way,” he bemoaned.
The Lower Manya Krobo MP who described the late Ayawaso West Wuogon MP as his pillar said he is yet to come to terms with his death.
“One of my pillars is broken; I’m confused. I knew he was not too well but I least expected this to happen now,” he mourned.
Hon. Teye Larbi called on Ghanaians to pray for the soul of such a “gentle, affable politician who looked beyond party politics” for God to grant him eternal resting place.
