The media this week has been saturated with news that made headlines and attracted public attraction.

The KNUST impasse seems to have no end in sight as the roadmap agreed upon by the government and UTAG has failed to materialise. The lecturers are threatening to resume the strike action they planned to embark upon a week ago. Chancellor of the KNUST, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II intervention to seek an amicable solution hit the rocks after the lecturers claim government failed to heed to their side of the bargain.

FIFA within the week also banned the former GFA boss Kwesi Nyantekyi for life and fined him GHC2.4 million. This is after he was found guilty of corruption-related activities and unethical practices which contravened FIFA ethics. The case against the Former FIFA Council member was brought against him by ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas after he was filmed allegedly taking bribe in a recording.

Ghana Maritime Authority boss has been accused of misappropriation of funds after it emerged he spend GHC1million to renovate his 2 bedroom apartment and several millions on staff parties at his hotel.
