Accra, Oct. 22, GNA – Henry Agyei Gyamerah, popular known as ”OD4” in the showbiz circles, has said he is thrilled with
the concept of “Kukesi”, which showcases various
African cultural expressions, as we seek
identification with our unique cultural tradition and values.
The much-anticipated Ghanaian movie, which
would be officially premiered at the Global Cinemas in Weija, Accra on November
3, has been tipped to break Box Office considering its originality.
According the popular artiste who is known now
as, “Mavluz” he was excited to be part of the effort to tell the
African story and remains hopeful that, Ghanaians would the movie.
“Kukesi is my second movie and I was
thrilled with the concept and am very delighted to be part of the cast and am
hopeful Ghanaians would enjoy the movie on the day of premier.
“I have not diverted from my original act
of singing, but I would like to demonstrate my versatility in showbiz. Acting
is not a new thing to me because we do lots of stage craft when do movie and I
have set sights on reaching greater heights in my movie career,” Mavluz
He stated that, his early days in acting was
not easy especially combining it with music but remains poised for the
Kukesi parades the finest actors in Ghana and
the Africa diaspora, which includes Emmanuel France, Paul Wilson, Vigah Zukah,
Stacy D’Mawuse and Abena Boakye with a host of new acts, which includes Ben
