Accra, Oct. 18, GNA – Madam Evelyn Nsiah Asare,
spokesperson for the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the Africa Women Cup
of Nations (AWCON), has described as successfull, the recent inspection of
facilities by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), saying “Ghana is
ready to deliver a good tournament to Africa and the rest of the world”.

Madam Nsiah Asare in an interview with GNA
Sports said, the inspection by the CAF team was satisfied with the rate of work
done on the various venues and facilities for the competition.

“Everything has been good, since the team
arrived in Ghana, they inspected facilities at Cape Coast Sports Stadium as
well as the training pitches and they were content with what they saw.

“We had sent reports and updates of works done
at the various venues to CAF before their arrival and they have not shown any
disapproval to what they have seen and as it stands now Ghana would give one of
the best tournaments in Africa,” she said.

The CAF Inspection team, led by Mr Anthony
Baffour have been in Ghana since Monday and have been touring facilities at
Cape Coast and Accra, ahead of the competition slated for Ghana from November
17 to December 1, 2018.

Meanwhile the CAF Inspection team would meet
the LOC and some stake holders for a final breifing ahead of the draw scheduled
at the Kempiski hotel in Accra on Sunday, October 21, 2018.
