Accra, Oct. 16, GNA – The Management of
E&J Promotions, have rendered an unqualified apology to all stakeholders in
the boxing fraternity, after a crowd violence marred the World Boxing
Organisation (WBO) Africa Super Bantamweight title fight between Isaac Sackey
and Wasiru Mohammed last Saturday.

Accra, Oct. 16, GNA – The Management of
E&J Promotions, have rendered an unqualified apology to all stakeholders in
the boxing fraternity, after a crowd violence marred the World Boxing
Organisation (WBO) Africa Super Bantamweight title fight between Isaac Sackey
and Wasiru Mohammed last Saturday.

A statement released by the Management of
E&J Promotions, said they were embarrassed by the incident, which resulted
in casualties and damage to properties.

”Management of E&J Promotions, registers
its unqualified apology to the management of the Bukom Boxing Arena, fans,
sponsors and dignitaries who patronized the Bukom Boxing Arena to witness the
”Ultimate Expose 2” bout, between WBO Super Batam Weight Africa Champion
Isaac Sackey and National Champion Mohammed Wasiru a.k.a ”Gyata Bi” for the
unfortunate post bout incident,” it added.

The management of E&J Promotions in the
statement added that, the said incident would be addressed at a press
conference on Thursday, October 18, at the Alisa Hotel.

The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has also
commenced investigations into the cause of crowd violence that caused the
abrupt end of last Saturday’s bout, as they would take proactive measures to
punish culprit parties.
