People’s Democratic Party(PDP) Chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode has called on Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso not to leave the opposition party.
Kwankwaso had issued a threat on Wednesday that he would leave the party, if any member of the Kwankwassiya movement is removed from the list of aspirants in his state.
Speaking via twitter on Thursday, the former Aviation Minister said the Kwankwassiya movement has a strong base in the Northwest and would deal a great blow on President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign. On this note, he asked that Kwankwaso, who also contested the PDP Presidential primaries but lost, to stay to help PDP coast victory in the coming presidential election.
He wrote:
The @OfficialPDPNig must NOT lose @KwankwasoRM to another party. His “Kwankwassiya” movement is second to none in the NW and it will divide and shatter @MBuhari‘s massive support base in the core north. We need him so that we can break Buhari’s back and flush him down the toilet.
