The mascot for the 2018 Women’s AFCON
The Chairperson for the Local Organizing Committee for the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations Freda Prempeh says the mascot tour and the trophy tour will begin next week as part of publicity measures being put in place the committee to create awareness for the tournament.
In an interview with Angel TV’s Esther Abankwa, she said that the tour will begin in Kumasi whiles the Black Stars play their AFCON qualifiers with Sierra Leone. Afterwards the tour will continue to other parts of the country while various malls have also be targeted.
She further called on Ghanaians to ensure they support them in order to help make the tournament a success.
The 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations is set to begin next month in Ghana. Teams that would be participating include Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali,South Africa,Equatorial Guinea, and Zambia.
