StandChart inaugurates new head office building in Accra

Standard Chartered Wednesday, October 3 inaugurated a new head office building on Independence Avenue in Accra, Ghana

The investment demonstrated the Bank’s long-term commitment to the country, its clients and the communities that it operates in. It is also a strong endorsement of our brand promise Here for good and specifically highlights our pledge and belief in the future growth of Ghana.

The new state of the art premises reflects the expansion of the business in Africa while meeting the occupancy needs of the Bank. The building is an epitome of modem architecture and an embodiment of global and local environmental standards.

It is constructed to the Standard Chartered Bank Group’s specifications in terms of quality, functionality and resilience. The building meets Ghana’s approved green budding standards and achieves the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification especially in energy savings and water efficiency.

The head office has a state-of-the-art trading floor and the transformative impact of technology on the modem workplace is visible. Staff have a variety of workplaces to support different types of work activities and styles. These range from collaboration spaces, team desks to more private focus desks which staff can select for their most appropriate needs during the day providing the flexibility to balance their professional and personal lives.

President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, at the inauguration of the building said, “as we inaugurate this new Head Office building, I believe it is the start of a new exciting chapter of growth and innovation for Standard Chartered Bank.
