Accra, Oct. 1, GNA – Norman Matemera, a top
Zimbabwean referee has been handed the task to officiate the 2019 Africa Cup of
Nations (AFCON) qualifier between Ghana and Sierra Leone to played at the
Babayara Sports Stadium, Kumasi, on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
The 36-year-old experienced referee would be
assisted on the lines by Thomas Kusosa and Luckson Mhara.

Accra, Oct. 1, GNA – Norman Matemera, a top
Zimbabwean referee has been handed the task to officiate the 2019 Africa Cup of
Nations (AFCON) qualifier between Ghana and Sierra Leone to played at the
Babayara Sports Stadium, Kumasi, on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
The 36-year-old experienced referee would be
assisted on the lines by Thomas Kusosa and Luckson Mhara.
The Zimbabwean was recently commended after he
rejected a US$ 10,000 bribe from Equatoral Guinean side Desportivo Niefang in a
CAF Confederation Cup against Ivorian side Williamsville Athletic Club in
April.
The Black Stars would be looking to secure a
win against the Leone Stars having accumulated three points from their first
two matches but lie top of Group F on goal difference.
A return leg between the two sides is slated
for the October 14 at the Siaka Stevens Stadium, Freetwown.
