President of the Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku Mantey has lauded organisers of music reality shows in the country.

According to him, shows such as MTN hitmakers, Mentor, Stars of the Future, among other relevant ones have helped a lot of underground musicians to polish their crafts.

He made this assertion on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Monday when he was explaining why some musicians fail to meet the standard during live performances.

Mark stressed that the show nurtures and boosts the confidence of the contestants to become wary of the necessary elements needed to make live band performance a professional one.

“Reality shows have done well. Stars of the future, Mentor, Bands alive, Born Stars, the number of people who have come out of reality shows is amazing. All these people when they go on stage, the confidence is there.”
