Real Madrid missed the chance to go top of the league after early slip up by their arch rival, FC Barcelona, by also sharing the points at home to Atlectico Madrid in a game that was largely dominated by them.
Their young attacking sensation, Marco Asensio, was at the end of some bad decision making that ultimately resulted in them failing to convert some goal scoring chances when on a 2 to beat 1 situation.
The talented youngster who was making his 100th appearance for the Los Blancos also failed to convert some goal scoring chances when found one a 1 on 1 situation with Atlectico Madrid’s goal keeper, Oblak. They eventually ended the match with a goalless draw.
Some sections of their fans took to social media to lash at the young prodigy while a larger part jumped to his defence claiming that he was the only one that took the game to Atletico Madrid whereas the remaining players were largely passerby.

Atlético were no where at their very best but Real Madrid deserved to win. This is where we are lacking someone with experience and form in front of goal.
