Ex KMA Boss, Kojo Bonsu to contest NDC Flagbearer race

Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Kojo Bonsu, has declared his intention to run in the flagbearership race of the opposition National democratic Congress (NDC).

Ex President Jerry John Rawlings on Friday hinted about Mr. Bonsu’s intention by posting a message on twitter after receiving him at his residence in Accra.

He described Mr. Bonsu as a person with a “determined” spirit and further wished him well.

In 2013, ex President John Mahama nominated Kojo Bonsu as the Metropolitan Chief Executive for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA).

But in July 2016, the under pressure Kojo Bonsu resigned after the Kumasi Traditional Council urged Mr. Mahama to dismiss him over his decision to unilaterally remove Amoamanhene, Nana Agyenim Boateng from the Kejetia Market project board without informing the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
