The Upper West Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Saanbaye Basilde Sitaalde Kangberee has been involved in a near-fatal accident, MyNewsGh.com can report.

According to close sources, the incident happened at Buoyiri, a suburb of his village, Owlo in the Daffiama Bussie Issa constituency on Wednesday night while he was returning to Wa after attending to some family and party functions in the area

It is gathered that his Toyota Land Cruiser V8 vehicle somersaulted severally before coming to a halt though the cause of the accident still remains sketchy.

MyNewsGh.com understands that the vehicle is mangled as evident in the images but the NPP executive and other occupants escaped unhurt and are were rushed to a nearby health facility where they were treated and discharged.

The mangled vehicle has since been towed from the accident scene and number plate pulled off.

The 70-year-old old retired former Saudi Arabia university English lecturer in April this year emerged victorious at the Upper West New Patriotic Party (NPP) Regional Congress stating that his victory is for the party.

Saanbaye Basilde Sitaalde Kangberee who cruised to victory as the Chairman among five others called on the vanquished to rally behind him towards the party’s victory in 2020 and beyond.

“This is victory is for all of us. We must all, therefore, put our ideas together for victory 2020. Dear delegates, you will always remain special and your efforts recognized and rewarded”, he disclosed.
