Accra, Sept. 25, GNA – The Reverend Dr Emelia
Asare-Amankwa, General Overseer of the End Time Evangelical Mission Chapel, has
called on parents to accept Government’s free Senior-High School double track
policy.

She said the educational benefits of the
policy would benefit all segments of society.

‘’The policy is the way out to take children
off the streets and eventually enable them to be admitted into universities’’.

Rev. Dr Asare-Amankwa was speaking at the 20th
anniversary celebration of the church at Dome in Accra, over the weekend.

She said government’s free Senior-High School
was here to stay and must therefore not be an issue for debate, and that, what
must be discussed is how to increase facilities and improving the quality of
education general.

On the issue of the National Cathedral, Rev.
Dr Asare-Amankwa urged Ghanaians to support the vision to build it because it
forms part of the infrastructure of national development.

“It is befitting to have a national cathedral
where we can honour our God who has build our nation”, she added.

The General Overseer said the church, which
started in 1998, had been able to open 10 branches across the country.

She said the church had been supporting widows
and offering support for some orphanages, as well as awarding scholarships to
the poor and the needy.

Rev. Dr Asare-Amankwa said plans were very far
advanced to put up a school and hospital in the future to cater for the health
and educational needs of the people and in so doing complement government’s
efforts of providing quality educational and healthcare for all.

She charged religious leaders to desist from
all forms of negative tendencies that may tarnish the image of the clergy.
