Nana Kwesi CivilHead of Civil Service of Ghana, Nana Kwasi Agyekum Dwamina

Head of Civil Service, Ghana, Nana Kwasi Agyekum Dwamina has allegedly hijacked Accra-based Eden Revival Church, the investigation has revealed.

Our checks from the Registrar’s General Department in Accra indicate that, the Council resolved for a change of name from F’den Mission church to Eden Revival Church, but he registered a new church with the name Eden Revival Church International; without the knowledge of some of the church’s directors.

His action has consequently incensed an Association in the church known as Heirs of Yeboa-Koree Vision (HY-KV) to take a legal action against the Civil Service boss, who took over from founder, Brother  Yeboa-Koree, late.

To the Association, the Agyekum-Dwamena led administration has over the years has made efforts to monopolize the running of the church such that the reviewed  Draft Constitution of the church that was adopted in principle has not been allowed or made to pass through proper or formal adoptable and enactment process.

The non-existence of audit-internal and external or any fiscal account rendered to the church since the assumption of office of the current stewardship close to two decades has been its major concern.

Indications are that  Nana Agyekum has on several occasions blocked attempts to hold national congress to elect new leaders for the church as stipulated in its constitution.

Notwithstanding their concerns, the Court directed the Association to channel their grievance through the Christian Council of Ghana, the country’s churches governing body.

And according to the Group when the leadership of Christian Council in a tripartite meeting among National Executives Council, HY-KV questioned the Civil Service boss about the group’s concerns he died any friction between him and the group.

It emerged after the meeting that Nana Agyekum Dwamena to change the church’s name to its original Eden Revival Church, but according to HY-KV he has since not effected the change and has failed to comply with all steps spelt out at the meeting to ensure the smooth running of the church.

A member of the HY-KV who pleaded anonymity said “I can’t disclose some of his (Nana Agyekum) nefarious acts to you. He has no regard nor respect for members of the church.

“Members and pastors are afraid to talk for fear of being expelled from the church. We have to be to the Christian Council severally and when they (Christian Council) probe further he pretends as if all is well, but that is not the case.

“The church has seen no renovation since he took over, and you dare not suggest anything to him, that has reduced the population drastically but he doesn’t seem bothered about how low the once vibrant church is sinking.”

And responding to the allegations levelled against him, he described the scenario as a calculated attempt by some section of the church to make him unpopular.
