There is heavy security at Abura-Dunkwa in the Central Region as youth there set five houses on fire in retaliation to the killing of a security guard Saturday night.

This was after the police had assured them it had manhunt for those responsible for the killing of the security guard whose name was only given as Ato.

The irate youth who set fire to the houses in the Zongo claim they suspect the perpetrators live there.

A resident, Isaac Boakye who spoke to Adom News said, he saw four of the Zongo boys holding cutlass and sticks.

Minutes later, he claimed they saw a lifeless body of the security guard lying in the middle of the road thus suspects they were behind the killing.

Also, wife of the deceased claimed he told her some people tried to murder him three days ago.

She claimed her husband went to report the matter to the police but nothing was done until his sudden demise last night.

Adom News’ Central Region Correspondent, Kofi Adjei who reported from the scene said there is uneasy calm in the area.

He indicated that, though the police have launched a murder investigation, the youth will have none of that.

Kofi Adjei said security has been beefed up in the area to prevent any reprisal attacks.
