Accra, Sept. 22, GNA – The 2013/14 premiere
league champions Kumasi Asanti Kotoko Sporting Club shall soon appoint a local
coach after Paa Kwesi Fabian handed in his resignation letter.
Lawyer Sarfo Duku, the Communication Director
of the club, in an interview with Ghana News Agency, said ‘’we will appoint a
new coach on at the end of this month and he is going to be a local coach’’.
On the prevailing rumours that Charles Kwabena
Akunnor, the Ex-Black Stars captain is the favourite to land the job, he said
“we are talking with a lot of local coaches so every local coach in the country
is a favourite for the job”.
The porcupine warriors will be playing Ashanti
Gold on Sunday at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
Lawyer Duku said in the absence of a
substantive coach, Akakpo Patron, the assistant coach and the entire team are
fully prepared for the game.
