Creative persons are doomed in Ghana – Rex Omar

Veteran highlife musician, Rex Omar says life is never easy for people who are creative.

According to him, not many investors in the country are ready to put in funds to support creative minds.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he emphasized fact that the focus of creativity hardly shifts from musicians, meanwhile, there are other areas equally productive as that pursuing music.

“There is one aspect of our development that we are neglecting. Here in Ghana, if you are blessed by God with a talent of creativity, because of our backwardness you’re doomed. Actor, musician, poet, whatever you’re doomed. Society abuse our work. They waste your time and want more from you…”

“Someone can be a lawyer or doctor and do can do whatever and no one talks about them but as a musician people want to know how you left your life…” Rex told Andy Dosty.
