The story of Manchester United defender, Luke Shaw, is one that is enough to inspire one. The pacy defender was signed on to the biggest club in England at 19, broke his leg same year and the injury became a career threatening one.
He even admitted recently that he thought of quitting the round ball game after the injury. He was also publicly criticized by his Manchester United Coach, Jose Mourinho, after adding a lot of weight and also lost form on return from injury. He even went on to miss the World cup as a result of loss of form.
He however didn’t give up. Instead, he worked hard, got himself back in the team for both club and country and went on to win the Barclay’s player of the month for last month. And he has been in superb form since the new season.
He also marked his return to the National team today with a beautiful state of the art assist that got football fans from all over the world talking.
See what people are saying:
Marcus Rashford’s opener (assisted by Luke Shaw) was the first England goal scored and assisted by two Manchester United players since November 2012, when Ashley Young assisted Danny Welbeck against Swede
What a run and pass by Luke Shaw to set Marcus Rashford up for England for the first goal and that goal obviously made the onlooking United manager very very happy

That’s a great ball from Luke Shaw. Not often you see him put something on a plate for someone else.
