Delegates who voted yesterday at the Greater Accra Women and Youth conference to retain the incumbent Women and youth organisers respectively are predicting a huge victory for the incumbent Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Joseph Kobinna Ade Coker.

According to the delegates who spoke to yours truly, Chairman Ade as is affectionately called is likely to be retained with an overwhelming endorsement, a prediction of over 65percent.

The other four aspirants are not expected to contribute more than 20.7 percent, the delegates remarked.

Ade Coker polled a comfortable 58 percent in the last regional conference in Dodowa but delegates are insisting he will do far better than the last time.

“Chairman Ade Coker has done so well for the region. He has distinguished himself very well and I don’t see any of the people contesting him doing better than him, a delegate – Nii Armah from La Dade Kotopon said.

“We want to remind all delegates that in electing new executives, it is important to consider voting for aspirants who have rich political experience and competence to discharge their mandate effectively and efficiently to make the party attractive to both floating voters and first-time voters. Ade Coker stands tall and he must be retained as regional chairman.

The NDC Greater Accra branch heads to the poll on Saturday, September 1 at the Central Cafeteria, University of Ghana, Legon, to elect its executives to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.
