Traditional Area has commended the government for efforts to help resolve the
long-standing chieftaincy dispute over the Akyem Kotoku paramountcy.

Speaking at the ‘Akwasidae’
celebration at Akim Oda at the weekend, Osiadeyo said efforts by some people to
push the dispute aside without dealing with the challenges that brought the
dispute would not help matters and called on all citizens of the area to
support the government to help to bring lasting peace to the area to enhance
development of the traditional area. 

He gave the assurance that the traditional
authorities in the area would fully cooperate with the committee that would be
established to look into the dispute and find lasting peace to the area.
