Accra, Aug. 14, GNA – Apostle Joseph Felix
Kwasi Mensah, Executive Council Chairman, Great Commission Church International
(GCCI), has urged Christian women to be fruitful in their service to God.

He said true fruitfulness began in the heart
of the Christian with the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Apostle Mensah made the appeal in his homily
at the 2018 GCCI Women’s Annual National Convention, on the theme: “Imitating
Christ as Godly Women”.

At the Convention, a 13-member National
Women’s Advisory Committee (NAWAC) of GCCI), was inducted into office, with
Madam Roseline Aglo as President and Dr Stella Asuming-Brempong as Patron.

The Committee, which would spearhead the
affairs of NAWAC for the next five years, would help bridge the gap between the
world and the Kingdom of God.

Other members are Madam Elizabeth Doe-Bansah,
Vice President; Madam Mercy Atabuatsi, Secretary; Madam Linda Adua, Assistant
Secretary; Madam Ruth Bonney, Evangelism Secretary and Madam Rejoice Wokah,
Protocol Officer.

The rest are Madam Hagar Korlottey, Treasurer;
Madam Grace Frempomaa, Prayer Secretary; and Madam Faustina Apotsey, Financial
Secretary.

Other Members of the Committee without
portfolios include Madam Georgina Kongoe, Madam Patricia Baidoo and Madam
Hannah Asante.

Apostle Mensah also underscored the need for
women to grow spiritually and win more souls for Jesus.

He said being in Ministry was about having a
common agenda and promoting God’s vision on earth.

Madam Aglo in an interview with the Ghana News
Agency (GNA) said the role of the Advisory Committee was to mobilise women
within the Church; first of all for Jesus Christ, to know Jesus Christ
themselves and also prepare them for Heaven.

She noted that this mission also included
being role models in their communities and wherever they may find themselves;
to other young women.

Madam Aglo urged women to rely fully on God’s
unchanging Word for strength as they wade through the vicissitudes of life.

Apostle Professor Samuel Asuming-Brempong,
Chairman, GCCI Ghana National Council, speaking to the GNA, urged Christian
women to exhibit Christ likeness and to help propagate the gospel.

He said women formed a greater percentage of
the membership of the Church, across all congregations therefore, their role in
this mission was important.

Apostle Prof Asuming-Brempong noted that, the
convention highlighted the need for women to showcase what they learnt from the
bible.

He said, however, if a woman fails to live a
virtuous life, how would those in the outside world absorb the message of the
gospel; stating that, it was important for women to be Christ-like in their
neighbourhood.

Apostle Prof Asuming-Brempong therefore,
encouraged Christian women to show the virtues of Christ wherever they find
themselves; adding that, this would help them convey what they learn from the
Bible to the world.

Reverend Jonas Kwami Cosmas Kumah Tengey, GCCI
Greater Accra Regional Pastor, told the GNA that women should at all-time note
that they were sent by Jesus to bring more people into his Kingdom.

He said the induction service, which coincided
with GCCI’s National Women’s Convention, was to help establish them, make them
to be like Jesus himself, imitate him in everything and as well live according
to the teachings of the Bible.

Rev Tengey urged Christian Women to be
advocates for Christ-like growth and reminded Christian women that they were
saved to be like Christ, and together help save the whole world.

“The Lord has promised that he will save
you, and through you he will save all other women in the world.”
