Former Managing Director of the Bulk Oil and Storage Transport (BOST) Alfred Obeng Boateng has mocked sacked Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko following his dismissal claiming the latter was behind his [Obeng] sack from office.
According to Obeng, Boakye Agyarko unfairly treated him while he was in office.
President Akufo Addo on 6th August 2018, dismissed Boakye Agyarko after it emerged that he allegedly misled the President into approving the controversial new AMERI deal through an Executive Order after it had been rejected by Parliament.
“Your prayers have been effective, people who worked against me while I was in office is my former Board Chairman and the former Minister of Energy. You Minister, you were offered a whole elephant, only his feet was cut and given to me, then you still demand that you take the feet from me. Two months ago he took the feet and all of you cried and prayed and the Lord has heard your prayers. Just two months on, you’ve heard what has happened, in my case there’s not been any disgrace, because everyone knows I did no wrong, even BOST workers and NPP members all defended me, but as God wills, I was asked to go home.
“With my former Board Chairman I believe you’ve heard about the issue of the collapsed banks, he is deeply involved in the dealings of Sovereign Bank and now he’s reeling under intense pressure. The Bible has said touch not my anointed, if you touch God’s anointed, you incur his wrath and you come under serious curse.”
