A scammer who wanted to use a woman as a mule to steal a computer was scammed when the woman decided to keep it.

Police in New Hampshire said that the woman who responded to the scammer’s ad to pick up an illegally purchased computer and send it to them has been accused of stealing the laptop.

Wolfeboro police said that they were contacted by a business owner who said that a hacker used his account to buy a computer.

The scammer than posted an ad offering to pay someone to collect the computer from the store and ship it overseas.

51-year-old Jennifer Wozmak answered the ad and she went to pick it up.

However, instead of sending the computer, police said, she sent the scammer magazines.

When she was busted, Wozmak turned herself in and told police that she sold the computer and kept the cash.

She is facing charges of theft. Wolfeboro Police Chief Dean Rondeau said that Wozmak had no affiliation with the original scammer apart from answering the ad and stealing the scammer’s computer.
