President of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Cudjoe Fianoo has indicated that Number 12 will allow stakeholders in football the opportunity to right the wrongs which had be going on at the Ghana Football Association for years.
Ace Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas in his latest work captured top officials of the Ghana Football Association taking monies to influence games and call ups to national teams.
The Ghana Football Association President, Kwesi Nyantakyi was also captured in the Journalist’s latest work taking monies and also using the President of Ghana’s name to strike a deal when the President was unaware.
Kwesi Nyantakyi after the expose has resigned from all positions in occupying in world football and the government of Ghana has taken steps to restructurize football in the country.
Speaking to Humul Khrusum Tahiru on Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio and monitored by MyNewsGh.Com on the effect of the expose on football in Ghana, Cudjoe Fianoo indicated that it is a step in the right direction as it will afford stakeholders in football the opportunity to right all the ills that has bedeviled the Association over the years.
He indicated that after all laid down take place, the association will regain its lost credibility.
He said while MyNewsGh.Com was monitoring that “I think that the GFA has lost its credibility over the years and in order to get this credibility back we need to get a more accountable GFA, a more transparent GFA, a GFA that is accountable to the members. We dont think that the era that contracts are signed without clubs knowing the nitigrities and their rights and their obligations need to be repeated”.
Cudjor Fianoo called on government to expedite steps to restructure football in Ghana in order to get the game going since there will be absolutely nothing happening after thw world cup in Ghana.
