Shoppers at Walmart witnessed a horrific double murder unfold in the store’s parking lot in broad daylight.

Police in Alabama were called to the scene at about 10:15 a.m. on reports that a man deliberately crashed into another vehicle.

Moments later, the scene turned deadly when the driver from the car got out of his vehicle and shot the two women who were sitting in the damaged car.

The two women died at the scene. Before police arrived, the man turned the gun on himself and he too was found dead at the scene.

The shooter was identified as 65-year-old Harold Miller. The victims were identified as his wife, Tresea Miller, 58, and her mother, Barbara Buttles, 75.

The couple’s son said that they were in the process of getting a divorce after 43 years of marriage.

The son said there “were no signs this would happen” and does not believe the shooting was premeditated by his father. He claims that his “father loved his mother.”

However, one day before she was killed, Tresea told a judge that she was afraid of her husband as he was verbally abusive towards her throughout their marriage.

The judge granted an order of protection to Tresea, her mother, and another son, ordering Harold to stay away from them.

The judge reportedly signed the order of protection at 10:06 a.m. The mother and daughter then left the court and drove to Walmart.

Sadly, less than 10 minutes after receiving the order of protection, they were shot dead in the murder-suicide.

Police confirmed that they had been to the couple’s home for domestic violence in the past.
