Spain VictorySpain must beat Morocco to make it the last 16

Group B is up next on our coverage list with 2010 World champions, Spain taking on Africa reps Morocco while Iran face Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.

Morocco have played some of the best football in the tournament but profligacy and defensive naivety has rendered their campaign fruitless and were the first country to be kicked out of the tournament.

But they will not go without a fight. A win or draw against Spain will take them nowhere but at least they will take some pride in it and that’s their motivation as they head into today’s game.

“My job is not to try and please people. My job is to challenge the Spanish team, to cause difficulties and to make the Moroccan people even prouder,” Morocco coach Herve Renard said.

Spain have their tournament rocked with managerial issues but have an opportunity to make things right with a win over Morocco and a Portugal win over Iran confirming their stay in the tournament.

Diego Costa has netted three goals in the tournament and will be carrying Spain’s goal scoring responsibilities tonight.

Iran take on Portugal in the other group game and if their performance against Spain is anything to go by then Portugal are in for a very difficult game.

But Portugal have Ronaldo who has scored four goals so far and has the tendency to bail them out in difficult periods. His services will be needed today as his side comes up against a tactically disciplined Iranian team.

As per the rules, both games will be played concurrently at 6: 00 PM GMT and we will give you updates on both games.
