A mother was brutally attacked by her husband before he fled the home, leaving her bleeding to death.

Police are desperately searching for 35-year-old Yong Lu who attacked his wife in their Sunset Park, Brooklyn, home.

According to police, Lu and his wife, Yang Li, 35, were waiting for their 7-year-old son to get home from school when in a fit of rage, Lu grabbed a meat cleaver and attacked his wife with it.

He severed Li’s right hand just above the elbow before chopping 2 fingers off from her left hand.

Li was able to call for help and she was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where she was reportedly placed into a medically induced coma.

Doctors were able to attach her hand and fingers but they will have to wait and see if the surgery was successful.
