NDC First Vice Chairperson, Anita Desoso and Former 1st Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings
First Vice Chairperson of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita De Sosoo has taken a swipe at the former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings for being the cause of her woes and that of the NDC in recent times.
She also accused the former first lady of being behind the hatred she and the party were suffering from the hands of the NDC’s founder, Former President Jerry John Rawlings.
“Mrs. Rawlings, is the reason why some personalities in the NDC including myself have been subject of consistent bashing from the former President of the land”, she said.
The outspoken NDC woman went on to allege that the former Ghanaian leader was being manipulated by his wife, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, to destroy the NDC.
Mr Rawlings on Saturday, June 16, 2018, slammed Anita De Sosoo, describing her as a “crook” that would do everything to get what she wants.
Mr. Rawlings said, he regretted not telling her in the face about her deeds when the latter knelt before him and begged for forgiveness on behalf of the NDC for its ‘sins’ during the 39th anniversary of the June 4 Uprising.
“Maybe sometimes I say the inappropriate things, I should have said it there and then [that she’s a crook]”, Mr. Rawlings lamented in a video which has since gone viral on social media.
But speaking on Okay FM yesterday in Accra Anita De Sosoo said, her sufferings at the hands of the NDC’s founder were as a result of her bad relationship with his wife.
“Nana Konadu is manipulating Rawlings. Rawlings of late does not attend NDC events but rather New Patriotic Party (NPP)”, she indicated.
According to Anita, her crime was that she refused to accept a bribe Nana Konadu offered her to dump the late Professor Evans Fiifi Atta Mills during the NDC’s 2007 presidential primary in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region.
“I am telling Nana Konadu that is it because of her bribe that I refused to take, that is why she is angry at me? I will refer her to the book of Judges Chapter 14 and 15 going”, she said.
Earlier, her (Anita De Sosoo) son, Franklin Dorledzi who was not happy with the attack on his mother slammed Mr Rawlings asking him to tell Ghanaians how his wife acquired some state properties including the Nsawam Cannery during his regime.
