NPP-China gets new Executives

A new fifteen-member Executive of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) branch in the Peoples Republic of China have been sworn into office.

They were sworn into office by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey at a ceremony held in Guangzhou Province, China on Thursday, June 14, 2018.

Hon. Ayorkor Botchwey in a brief comment urged the new Executives to be united and champion the interest of Ghanaians and the NPP in China.

Speaking on behalf of the new Executives, the new Chairman of NPP-China Mr. Ben Owusu Achew said the new executive will work harder to make NPP-China one of the greatest external branches of the party to reckon with.

He assured to build upon the impressive performance of his predecessors.

“Just like the relay race, the baton has been handed over to me to lead the branch for the next four years. I have accepted the challenge and I promise that together with my strong executives both the branch and the chapters NPP-China will become one of the greatest external branches to reckon with. My predecessors have done great job and I am going to build on from where they got to”, he noted.

Whilst commending the previous executive, branches and chapters of the party in China for a good job done, Mr. Ben Owusu Achew expressed great appreciation to Hon Shirley Ayokor Botchwey, His Excellency, Mr. Edward Boateng and his Deputy Dr Charles Dwamena for gracing the occasion.
